Big 12 NBA Draft History: With the 57th Overall Pick...

***NOTE: No Big 12 player has gone 58th overall***

Best Big 12 Player Drafted #57: Nate Erdmann, Oklahoma Sooners, by the Utah Jazz in 1997
From a 2009 Topeka Capital-Journal article, "For someone who can dunk, a reverse is not particularly difficult. But Erdmann used to [reverse dunk] like it was a show-stopper, and, preposterously, it kind of was."

Other Notable Big 12 Players Drafted 57th: None

Best Non-Big 12 Player Drafted 57th: Manu Ginobili, Viola Reggio Calabria (Italy), by the San Antonio Spurs in 1999.
Best. Late Second Round. Pick. EVER! Let's see. 1999 Euroleague champion. 2003, 2005, 2007 NBA champion. 2004 Gold Medal. Yeah, I'd say that pick worked out for San Antonio.

In preparation for the 2011 NBA Draft, each day until June 23 we'll count down the best Big 12 player drafted with each pick. This list only takes into account players who played in the Big 12, so it starts with the 1997 draft. In total 70 Big 12 alumni have been selected, filling 43 of the 60 possible slots.
