Big 12 Transfer Rumors: Former Michigan State Guard Korie Lucious To Visit Iowa State

New, 6 comments

Guard Korie Lucious, who left the Michigan State basketball team in late January is reportedly going to take a visit to Iowa State this weekend.

If Lucious decides to transfer to a Division 1 school, the junior must sit out one year before completing his final year of eligibility.

At the time he left, Lucious was averaging 6.5 points and 4.1 assists per game for the vastly underachieving Spartans. Combined with Kalin Lucas, the Milwaukee, WI native formed a tandem on most "expert's" preseason top backcourt lists. The two helped Michigan State earn a preseason number two ranking in most polls. Currently the Spartans sit at 13-9 on the season and are 5-5 in Big 10 play.

Iowa State is 14-9 on the season, but just 1-7 in the Big 12. They host Kansas State this weekend.

If Lucious decides to join the Cyclones, he will be eligible to wear Cardinal and Gold in the 2012-13 season.

Coming out of high school, Lucious had offers from Michigan State, Florida and the Big 12's Kansas.
