Big 12 NBA Player of the Week For Week 17 - Chauncey Billups

What a week for Chauncey Billups. Sunday night he went to bed at his palatial home in his hometown of Denver, Colorado, content to finish out his career in the same state he grew up in and played college hoops in. Monday night he was packing his bags, after being included in the Carmelo Anthony, three-team, 13 player deal.

Despite all the distraction, Billups never lost his cool - one reason he got the nickname "Smooth" at a young age - and played the best ball of any Big 12 alumni this week.

During his two games in a New York Knicks uniform, Billups averaged 23.5 points eight assists and 4.5 rebounds per game, all while trying to learn a new offense and nuances of new teammates.

So while the city of Denver is missing their hometown hero, Chauncey is relishing his time in the city that never sleeps.
