Every Saturday I go in and take a look at the point spreads of the Big 12 action taking place and make my predictions on the outcomes. Last week if you read I took a serious beating as I only got the Missouri vs Iowa State game correct and finished up 1-5 against the spread. Hoping this week treats me a little bit better.
Game Spreads and My Predictions Below.
MY CURRENT RECORD PICKING AGAINST THE SPREAD: 21-11
Missouri Tigers at Kansas State Wildcats - The Wildcats are a 3.5 point favorite at home.
MY PREDICTION: While I think Missouri is probably a little bit better team than Kansas State overall this one comes down to the fact that the game is in Bramlage Coliseum. Missouri as we all know isn't a great road team so going to go with the percentages and pick KSU to win the game at home and cover the spread.
Texas Tech Red Raiders at Oklahoma State Cowboys - The Cowboys are an 8 point favorite in their home gym.
MY PREDICTION: While I hate doing it I am going to pick the Red Raiders to not allow Oklahoma State to cover the spread. Not sure I necessarily think Tech is going to win outright but not convinced the Cowboys are playing well enough to beat Tech by this margin.
Nebraska Cornhuskers at Iowa State Cyclones - Good ole straight pick'em game here as neither team is favored.
MY PREDICTION: Going to go with the home team in this one as just have a feeling that Iowa State is due for at least one more Big 12 win and today is my guess for it happening.
Texas Longhorns at Colorado Buffaloes - Texas is a 6.5 point favorite on the road in the thin air.
MY PREDICTION: While I feel Texas should win this game I am going to pick the Buffs from a point spread perspective. The Longhorns haven't been playing their best basketball as of late and CU seems to play teams close and tough in Boulder.
Kansas Jayhawks at Oklahoma Sooners - Another road team favored as KU is a 14.5 point favorite in this one.
MY PREDICTION: KU is once again making every shot they take it seems and OU is fading badly, going to go with the Jayhawks to cover the spread here.
Texas A&M Aggies at Baylor Bears - The Bears enter as a 2.5 point favorite in this one.
MY PREDICTION: Toughest game for me to try and predict what I think is going to happen as I really think anything could happen here. If I were forced to pick one side or the other and put some money on it I would pick the home team to cover so I am gonna go with Baylor at home to win the game and cover the spread.
