Note to self: start taking Missouri at home to cover the spread.
Note to self: start taking Missouri at home to cover the spread.

Well another six pack of games from Saturday is completed so it's time to go in and take a look at how my predictions fared that I posted yesterday. Below is the what the line was and what my prediction was for each game in relation to the point spread.

Game Spreads and My Predictions Below.

Oklahoma Sooners at Missouri Tigers - The Tigers are a 16 point favorite at home.

MY PREDICTION:  This is a big line especially against an OU team that has been playing pretty decent lately. I will say Missouri wins the game but they do not cover the spread.

RESULT: Missouri won big by a score of 84-61 and easily covered the 16 point spread. So I started out a loser in the first game of the day.

0-1

Texas A&M Aggies at Texas Tech Red Raiders - The Aggies enter as a 5.5 point favorite on the road.

MY PREDICTION: I like Tech to not only cover the spread in this one but to win this game outright.

RESULT: Aggies won the game 70-67 so while my Tech pick to win outright didn't happen they still covered the spread for me.

1-1

Iowa State Cyclones at Kansas Jayhawks - The lines keep getting bigger as KU keeps playing well. The Jayhawks are a 20.5 point favorite at home.

MY PREDICTION:  While 20.5 is a very large number to cover I think KU does it today against a reeling Cyclone team.

RESULT: KU beat Iowa State 89-66 to cover this huge line. Thought maybe Iowa State would get a cover in this one but Jayhawks held on for me.

2-1

Baylor Bears at Texas Longhorns - Texas comes into this one as an 11 point favorite over visiting Bears.

MY PREDICTION: Well it's hard telling with Baylor on a given night what exactly you are going to get but I am going to take Texas to win the game but not to cover the spread. 11 points is a fairly high number.

RESULT: After getting out to a big lead Texas held on for a closer than score shows win of 69-60. Thought maybe some late free throws would push Longhorns to cover or at least push on this spread but Baylor held on.

3-1

Oklahoma State Cowboys at Nebraska Cornhuskers - Nebraska is a 4.5 point favorite at home.

MY PREDICTION:  Well I feel Nebraska is going to win this game and being at home I will take them to cover spread as well.

RESULT: Nebraska took care of business at home defeating Cowboys by a score of 65-54 for an easy cover.

4-1

Kansas State Wildcats at Colorado Buffaloes - CU is only a 1 point favorite at home.

MY PREDICTION:  Very interesting that the Buffs are not a bigger favorite in this one. I like CU to win the game and easily cover the spread.

RESULT: Most exciting finish of the day as K-State hit a three at buzzer to apparently win but replay showed it was too late and Buffs get the 58-56 victory. Since spread was only 1 point , CU covers so while my guess of them covering easily was wrong a win is a win no matter how it happens right.

5-1

RECORD AGAINST SPREAD ENTERING YESTERDAY: 15-5

RECORD AGAINST SPREAD AFTER YESTERDAYS: 20-6

Conclusion is this is the weirdest year of basketball for me ever as no way if I actually had placed money on every single game that written about would the final results so far be 20-6. I am guessing that a few 0-6 Saturdays are approaching as this is like a .200 hitter in baseball all of a sudden finding a hole on every ground ball.
