Quick Big 12 Wednesday Night Game Recaps

There were three games last night in the Big 12 and in each the school from the State of Texas prevailed. The Longhorns just keep on rolling while Baylor and Texas A&M had to work for it a little more but came out on top.

(3) Texas Longhorns 68 at Oklahoma Sooners 52 - Another conference game and another win for Rick Barnes squad. The Longhorns did not let this game stay close as they jumped out to a 13-4 lead by the first tv timeout and did not look back. Very interesting box score to look at as all five starters for Texas scored in double figures while they got zero bench scoring. Jordan Hamilton led with 20 points for Texas while Andrew Fitzgerald led OU with 16 points.

(22) Texas A&M 73 at Colorado Buffaloes 70 -  The Aggies get a hard fought conference road win and avoid a four game losing streak. After two Alec Burks free throws gave CU a three point lead with ten seconds left, BJ Holmes hit a three pointer with 2 seconds left to tie the game at 60 and send it into overtime.  In the extra session the Aggies would jump out and score the first six points and they would withstand a small rally by the Buffs. Nathan Walkup led A&M with 18 points while Burks led CU with 24 points.

Nebraska Cornhuskers 70 at Baylor Bears 74 -  LaceDarius Dunn would score 24 points in this one to help Baylor nip NU at home and move the Bears one step closer to a return trip to the NCAA Tournament. The free throw line made the difference in this one as Nebraska was 16-19 from the line but Baylor was 31-44 from the charity stripe. Toney McCray led Nebraska with 23 points.
