Other Big 12 Basketball Previews: Oklahoma State at Baylor, Nebraska at Texas Tech

Oklahoma St. Cowboys at Baylor Bears - 3 p.m. CT

After beating the two Big 12 bottom feeders, Baylor has been blown out in their last two conference games, losing by 16 at Iowa State and by 20 at home to KU. They have simply been outplayed and out hustled. There doesn't seem to be a spark in the step, nothing for a preseason conference favorite.

Oklahoma State, on the other hand, has bookended their two home wins with losses on the road.

This one will have good interior play, as Perry Jones III and Marshall Moses should bump down low. The winner will have the better perimeter game, which should favor the home Bears.

Nebraska Cornhuskers at Texas Tech Red Raiders - 6:30 CT

Combined these teams are 2-6 in conference, but a look at their records doesn't do either team justice.

At 2-2 the Huskers could very well be 4-0. With losses to KU, after leading at half in Lawrence, and Mizzou, where they closed within a bucket late into the game, NU is playing above what a casual fan would notice from their record, and different than what we all expected coming into the season.

At 0-4 Tech is playing worse than their record indicated. Their closest loss is a 9-point defeat to Oklahoma, who claims the Red Raiders as their only conference victim.

Tech has to win a game this season - right? - and heading into the season one might have circled today's game. But unless Mike Singletary and John Roberson step up, Red Raider head coach Pat Knight might be one step closer to a severance package.
