Will Tony Mitchell ever make it to Mizzou?

In what could be a huge loss for the Missouri Tigers for the 2010-2011 season, at least one person with inside knowledge of Missouri sports does not feel that Tony Mitchell will be a Tiger this upcoming season.

Find out who said what after the jump.

In a radio interview conducted yesterday with Kansas City sports radio station 810WHB, Missouri sideline reporter Chris Gervino was quoted as saying "I think he (Anderson) is going to get them all (recruits) except for Tony Mitchell," It does not look good," I do not expect him to be playing here at Missouri,".

This could be a huge blow for the Tiger program for this coming season as Mitchell is a 5 star recruit who was expected to help carry some of the scoring load for Missouri before possibly opting for the NBA Draft after the season. The good news for Tiger fans is Mitchell wasn't the only big time recruit in this years recruiting haul as Anderson secured commitments from 4 star PG Phil Pressey and 4 star JUCO transfer Ricardo Ratliffe combined with two additional 3 star recruits.

With Ricardo Ratliffe still somewhat of an unknown in how he will adapt to the Big 12 and Justin Safford coming off an injury, Missouri may be reliant upon guards Kim English, Michael Dixon, JR. and Marcus Denmon to carry the scoring load early in the season.
