Previewing All Saturday Big 12 Basketball Games

Missouri at Baylor - 12:45p CST ESPN 360

Mizzou cleaned the floor with CU last Saturday. Why? Mizzou was bigger than the Buffaloes. Not the case today when the Tigers face Baylor's Ekpe Udoh and LaceDarius Dunn.  Throw in guard Tweety Carter and the Bears have the perfect lineup that can cripple the Tigers. The one caveat is that if Mizzou shoots like they did against CU then it might be closer of a game than if they shoot like they did against Iowa State on Wednesday.

Oklahoma at Oklahoma St. - 1p CST ESPN

This intra-state rivalry matchup was a game most Big 12 insiders circled at the start of the year. Willie Warren vs James Anderson in a potential swing game for conference Player of the Year.  As it turns out, Warren might have been paying too much attention to all the preseason hype and has not played to the level most expected. I still feel that with Tiny Gallon and Tommy Mason-Griffin, the Sooners are deeper than the Cowboys, and if Oklahoma can contain get Anderson in foul trouble then pendulum will swing to the visitors.

UPDATE: Willie Warren is nursing a virus and did not make the trip to Stillwater.
UPDATE: Tiny Gallon has been suspended for the game.

Nebraska at (14) Texas - 3pm CST ESPN 360

You were number 1 in the country. Since then you have lost 5 of 7 conference games. What is the remedy for your ailment? Playing 1-8 Nebraska at home. This game is over within the first 3 minutes.

Texas A&M at Texas Tech - 4pm CST ESPN2

TAMU is playing out of their minds right now. They are far exceeding expectations, especially after losing Derrick Roland to a horrific leg injury. Tech is playing the mediocre ball we expected from them all year. In the end the A&M Yell Leaders will shout with joy.

Colorado at (9) Kansas St - 5pm CST ESPN 360

Colorado is the type of team that can give K-State fits.  Led by Cory Higgins and Alec Burks, they are quick and athletic.  But if anyone has ever seen a game at the Octagon of Doom they know that CU really doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of actually winning. The combo of Denis Clemente and Jacob Pullen outdoes the Buff twosome in this one.

Iowa St at (1) Kansas - 7pm CST ESPNU

There might be as many as 6 future NBAers on the court for this game. Iowa St's Craig Brackins and Marquis Gilstrap will matchup in the front court against Kansas' Cole Aldrich and one of the Morris twins. It is the other two future NBAers who will lead the way to a Kansas blowout, Sherron Colins and Xavier Henry.
