Kansas Jayhawks Likely to Pound UCLA Tonight in Lawrence

KU should easily defeat UCLA tonight in Lawrence.

Tonight in Lawrence, KS the #4 ranked Jayhawks look to move their home court winning streak to 64 games when they take on the Bruins of UCLA. The start time is set for 8 P.M. Central.

This is a game that will get more attention nationally due to the name value and history of these two schools than it probably should. While Bill Self has kept Kansas consistently in the Top Ten, the Bruins have started to become nonfactors on the national scene after an impressive run of Final Four appearances earlier this decade.

The Bruins enter the game with a 3-2 record and coming off back to back losses at the hands of Villanova and Virginia Commonwealth. The loss to Villanova is acceptable but the loss to VCU definitely is not for a program like UCLA. The Bruins are led in scoring by sophomores Reeves Nelson & Tyler Honeycutt who are averaging 17.6 ppg and 14.6 ppg respectively.

Even though UCLA has an overall win history in the series against KU at 10-5, expect KU to move that to 10-6 after tonight. Any other result besides a easy double digit win for KU would be quite surprising.
