Appearing to be fully healthy this year the Junior guard from Kansas City put up some big scoring numbers this past week. Over the three contests Missouri played, Denmon averaged 20 points a game while helping lead the Tigers in winning the Cancun Challenge.
In the finals of the Cancun Challenge, Denmon scored 21 points while connecting on 5 of 9 three pointers attempted. In his best game of the season, albeit a Tigers loss, Denmon almost by himself kept Missouri in the game early as he finished with 27 points and 6 rebounds. Those 27 points came on 10-12 shooting from the floor while going 5-7 from three point range.
The choice of Denmon simply came down to the fact he shot lights out all week going a combined 12-20 from deep and the fact he willed the Tigers back from an 18 point deficit against Georgetown in a game that Missouri for all practicable purposes should have won.
