In what is starting to sound like a broken record, Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant is the Big 12 NBA Player of the Week for Week Six. This is Durant's third award of the short season.
On the week, Durant averaged 28 points, seven rebounds and 3.8 assists per game helping the Thunder go 3-1 with wins over Golden State Warriors, Minnesota Timberwolves and New Orleans Hornets, while dropping one to the Chicago Bulls.
For the season the former Texas Longhorn is averaging 27.4, 6.9 rebounds and three assists per game while leading Oklahoma City to a 16-8 record.
Four Big 12 alumni have won the award this season, with Durant being the only multiple time winner.
