Big 12 / Pac-10 Hardwood Series Continues: Washington Huskies and Texas A&M Aggies Looking Past Last Year's Roland Injury

Less than a year ago the Texas A&M Aggies and Washington Huskies tangled in Seattle as part of the 2009 Big 12 / Pac-10 Hardwood Series.  That game will stick in the minds of college basketball fans as the game in which Texas A&M forward Derrick Roland suffered a career-ending leg protrusion (A&M fans might argue that the NCAA, not the injury, ended Roland's career early).

The two teams will try and put that out of their minds as this season the rematch shifts to College station, and pits two teams looking to make names for themselves on the national scene.

Led by guard Isaiah Thomas, and his team leading 15.6 point per game, Washington (6-2) is facing its first true road test of the season, after going 5-0 at home and 1-2 on neutral courts.

Forward Justin Holiday leads the Huskies in board with 6.8 per contest, while guard Venoy Overton is their leading assist and steal man.

The Aggies (8-1) are led by sophomore forward Khris Middleton's 13.8 ppg. David Loubeau leads in rebounds and B.J. Holmes is the leading assist and steals guy on the squad.

A win by Texas A&M and the Big 12 will win the series. A win by Washington and the series comes down to Tuesday's Stanford-Oklahoma St. meeting.

A complete schedule of the entire Big 12 / Pac-10 Hardwood Series, including scores of completed games is available after The Jump.
