The Big 12 Conference has announced that a limited number of tickets for the 2010 Philips 66 Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championship, scheduled for March 10-13 at Sprint Center, will be available to the public.
Fans may participate in an online drawing process for the opportunity to purchase tickets to the Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championship. Through the random online drawing, fans will have the opportunity to purchase two all-session tickets. The 2010 event marks the ninth time that Kansas City has hosted Big 12 postseason competition - more than any other city in the conference.
"Sprint Center eagerly anticipates the return of the Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championships after a one-year hiatus," said Brenda Tinnen, general manager and senior vice president of AEG Kansas City. "Ticket demand for 2010 Philips 66 Big 12 Men’s Championship will undoubtedly exceed the limited supply available. The random online registration process will allow tickets to be distributed in an equitable and efficient manner, allowing as many basketball fans as possible to experience this very special event."
Interested fans may visit sprintcenter.com to complete and submit the registration form for the opportunity to purchase two all-session tickets. There is no fee and no purchase necessary to register. Only one entry per person is allowed. In the event of multiple entries by the same individual, only one entry received will be considered. Opportunities to purchase tickets are non-transferable.
The registration period begins on Jan. 21 at 5 p.m. CT and ends on Jan. 24 at 4:59 p.m. CT. Successful registrants will be selected at random on or after Jan. 29. All participants will be notified of their entry status by Friday, Jan. 25 via the e-mail address submitted on the registration form.
All-session tickets include all six sessions for the four-day Championship and are available for $215, inclusive of all service and handling fees.. Seats are located in the upper level. Best available tickets will be assigned in the order of random selection.
