76ers Add Former Mizzou Coach Quin Snyder as Assistant
New 76ers coach Doug Collins added Quin Snyder to his coaching staff in a developmental role.
The last three seasons, the 43-year-old Snyder was the head coach of the Austin Toros, which is the NBA Developmental League team of the San Antonio Spurs. Previously, Snyder spent seven seasons as the head coach at Missouri, ending in 2006.
Could the BIG 12 be history?
I know not to believe everything I read/hear but this is getting interesting.
Crimson and Cream Machine: Is Jeff Capel Cleaning House? Willie Warren May Not Have A Scholarship Next Year!
Apparently McDonald's All-Americans aren't all they're cracked up to be. Well, at least in Oklahoma's case. Coming of the most disappointing basketball season in a long, long time Oklahoma's three former McDonald's All-Americans are finding themselves subject to the rumor mills for all the wrong reasons.
USA Today: Carter helps Baylor's rebuilding efforts land on solid ground
The daunting task confronting Scott Drew when he took the coaching job at Baylor seven years ago in the midst of the fallout from Patrick Dennehy's murder had no easy solutions.
Baylor had never been a basketball power to begin with. Before last week, the lone private school in the Big 12 Conference hadn't won an NCAA tournament game in 60 years. The killing of Dennehy by teammate Carlton Dotson, along with the discovery of a pattern of rules-breaking during the tenure of former coach Dave Bliss, had put the Baptist college in a poor light nationally.
But Drew knew the quickest way to respectability was to get good players. His circumstances demanded it.
"You have to see what you have to do to win your league," says Drew. "If you're going to compete with Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, etc., you're going to have to have players equal or better to what they have.
"So the first thing we had to do was bring in those types of players."
Rock M Nation: To the Seniors: Thanks
Some time in the next 18 days -- possibly as soon as this afternoon -- we will have seen J.T. Tiller, Zaire Taylor and Keith Ramsey play in a Mizzou uniform for the last time. And while they haven't exactly been All-Americans in their time at Mizzou, there is absolutely no doubt that the program would not be where it is without them.

ESPN.com: Mizzou's Bowers postpones surgery for tourney
Injured Missouri forward Laurence Bowers will postpone surgery on two torn wrist ligaments until after the Tigers' NCAA tournament appearance.
Bowers disclosed the injury's severity as Missouri, a 10th seed in the East region, prepares for a first-round NCAA matchup Friday against seventh-seeded Clemson in Buffalo, N.Y. He originally called the injury a sprained wrist and wore a splint in Missouri's first-round loss to Nebraska in the Big 12 tournament last week.
Bowers spent most of the season as a reserve. He has started the past four games in place of injured forward Justin Safford, who tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee and faces offseason surgery.
