Stay connected for news and updates

***NOTE: No Big 12 player has gone 37th overall***

Best Big 12 Player Drafted #36: Andre Emmett, Texas Tech Red Raiders, by the Seattle Supersoncis in 2004.
This boy could score! Not only is he the all time leading scorer in Tech history, but in a 2010 Chinese professional league game, he scored 71 for the Shandong Lions.

Other Notable Big 12 Players Drafted 36th: None.

Best Non-Big 12 Player Drafted 36th: Sam Young, Pittsburgh Panthers, by the Memphis Grizzlies in 2009.
Young came in as the unheralded member of Memphis' 2009 draft class - after Hasheem Thabeet and DeMarre Carroll - but after two season, he's the only one still standing after the others were traded to the Houston Rockets for Shane Battier.

In preparation for the 2011 NBA Draft, each day until June 23 we'll count down the best Big 12 player drafted with each pick. This list only takes into account players who played in the Big 12, so it starts with the 1997 draft. In total 70 Big 12 alumni have been selected, filling 43 of the 60 possible slots.
