Kansas St. Wildcats sophomore Wally Judge has left the team, coach Frank Martin said in his Monday afternoon press conference. Judge was a five-star recruit and the 18th overall player in the Rivals.com Class of 2009.
During the scheduled presser, Martin stated "Wally quit the team today. He's not happy. I kinda saw it coming because of some of this emotional situations. He just has not been enjoying it. He told me today that he thinks it is time for a change."
The Washington, DC native never quite lived up to his high school hype, averaging 3.3 points and three rebounds per game during his rookie campaign for K-State and 5.5 points and 3.8 rebounds per game this season.
Judge did not play in consecutive games against Texas Tech and Missouri earlier in January and played one minute a piece in the following two conference games. On Saturday he logged 17 minutes, scoring five points on 1-7 shooting, in the loss to Nebraska
There is no indication on whether Judge has dropped out of classes or where he might end up.
