Previewing Saturday's Big 12 Conference Tournament Championship - Predictions and Commentary

No. 1 Kansas vs No. 2 Kansas St - ESPN 5:00 p.m. CST

A great match-up, and a fitting way to end a solid week of play. Intra-state rivals clash in Kansas City, as the Kansas Jayhawks and Kansas St Wildcats meet up for the third time this season. The first meeting was an epic battle that ended with Sherron Collins cementing his Jayhawk legacy. The second meeting, in Lawrence, wasn't as close, as the Jayhawks dominated the Wildcats in all facets of the game.

This one will be somewhere between those two games. Somewhere between overtime and a 17-point blowout. The two-headed partisan crowd, half dressed in red and blue, half dressed in purple will get the Sprint Center a-rockin, but in the end the number one seed will show why they've been the cream of the Big 12 crop all season.

Denis Clemente, Jacob Pullen and Jamar Samuels will put up a good fight, but at the end of the day Collins, Cole Aldrich, the Pick-a-Morris twins, Xavier Henry and company will head into the NCAA tourney as the number one overall seed after getting past K-State in this brutal affair.
