Previewing the Weekday's Big 12 Basketball Action

(6) Texas at Oklahoma St - Monday 8pm CT ESPN

This is the game of the week in the Big 12 (at least tease me with a surprised look). Texas hasn't been playing as well as they could've in the past few weeks. OK State has a well balanced attack and James Anderson is unstoppable. A close game, but Texas wins because of depth.

(13) Kansas St at Nebraska Tuesday - Tuesday 7pm CT ESPN 360

During the first TV timeout a Husker fan will turn to his neighbor and ask when spring football practice starts. The conversation will get so in-depth that they won't realize the thrashing their hometown squad is taking. And they will both leave happy.

Iowa St at Baylor - Wednesday 6:30pm CT ESPN 360

I don't get why Iowa St doesn't win more games? I just don't get it. They have two great players in Craig Brackins and Marquis Gilstrap yet they lose more conference games than they win. I don't get it. They lose again in Waco, but this time I will get it. Ekpe Udoh and Tweety Carter. That's what I get.

Texas A&M at Missouri - Wednesday 8pm CT ESPNU

I live in Denver and in Denver Comcast doesn't carry ESPNU. Sure, they carry it in other regions, but not Denver. It irritates the living life out of me. If everyone could send Comcast an e-mail telling them to carry ESPNU in Denver, I would appreciated it greatly. Mizzou wins this game, extends the home win streak to 33 and I will be at a bar with a beer in my paw.

(2) Kansas at Colorado - Wednesday 8pm CT ESPN2

Blowout. Instead of watching this game might I recommend watching the movie Donnie Brasco.  I watched it this past weekend and if you haven't seen it, it is worth the watch. Johnny Depp. Al Pacino. Mark Madsen (aka Mr White). Anne Heche. Good mob movie that I gave 5 stars on my Netflix review. Fahgetaboutit!

Not so fast...

I am not so confident that the Aggies can win on the road at such a hostile arena, but I wouldn’t put it past them. If the Aggies can make their free throws I expect a close game. Evan will have me screaming in his ear at the bar, so even if the Aggies lose Evan won’t be able to hear for the rest of the week.

BOO

the only solace I had watching the game with Hank were the all you can eat Hooters wings and the all you can stare Hooters girls.

Is it bad

that I’m excited that K-State plays Nebraska this week(because of the no TV airing) because I’d rather watch the season premiere of LOST instead?

Surgeon General's Warning: K-State-Mizzou basketball may increase the risk of high blood pressure. Please consult your doctor prior to watching any of these games.

Anytime a team plays Nebraska their fans should get excited.
