The juniors have a little more experience than the sophomores, so the team was easier to select.
Unless they are uber studs (and consequently one and doners), freshman generally see less time on the court than their older teammates, so a lot of times a player's true potential isn't recognized until their sophomore year. This is why the Big 12 All-Junior Team is packed with household names. Last year was the year we finally got to see what these guys could do, and this year is when they'll really shine.
