Stay connected for news and updates

It was another good week of basketball for former Big 12 hoopsters, but in the end, everyone's favorite* Big 12 alumni, Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant, earned Big 12 NBA Player of the Week honors.

Durant led the Thunder to a 2-1 record last week while averaging 29.3 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists per game. For good measure, Durant also averaged a steal and a block for each contest.

This is the second week in a row a former Texas Longhorn has secured the award, as Portland Trail Blazer forward LaMarcus Alrdidge was last week's winner.

Check back each week to see which for Big XIIer had the best week as a pro or continue after The Jump to see a rundown of previous winners.

* everyone seems to love them some Durant since the FIBA World Championships. Even fans of other Big 12 schools seem to have boarded the Durant train.
