Another South Florida youngster will be making his way to Manhattan, KS to play basketball for Frank Martin, as PG Angel Rodriguez has verbally committed to Kansas State. Rodriguez has been a target of Martin and the KSU coaching staff for some time and the announcement was not unexpected.  

Ranked by Rivals as a 3 Star prospect, the 6 ft Rodriguez comes to K-State from Miami where he has played for coaches Shakey Rodriguez & Art Alvarez, both have strong connections with Frank Martin.  

Louisville & NC State were also strongly pursuing Rodriguez but the chance to follow in fellow Puerto Rican Denis Clemente's shoes at K-State proved to be too much.

Kansas State also has commitments from center Adrian Diaz & power forward Thomas Gipson from Texas.
