FanVote: Big 12 Freshman of the Year
We're in the process of compiling the SB Nation All-Big XII Team, along with individual preseason awards. To give you guys a chance to chip in, I'm going to keep this post open until Wednesday (and I'll be opening a few other threads as well, for other individual awards).
Instead of giving you guys a poll with 20 names, I'm just going to let everyone post your pick for Big 12 Freshman of the Year. At the end of the day on Wednesday, I'll tally it up and the player with the most votes will be the Big 12 Hoops Fan Representative.
In the end, that vote will count for 1/12th of the total vote because we have 10 SB Nation Big 12 schools (minus Baylor and OSU); I'll count as the 11th vote and you guys will count as the 12th vote.
Let us know...Who is your Big XII Freshman of the Year?

ESPNU says, "Bradley is the most complete player in the class and is a difference-maker both offensively and defensively, which is rare. This young man has steadily risen up the rankings since last season. Initially it was his defensive play that propelled him. Bradley plays with great intensity each and every possession, and from a defensive standpoint he is an absolute lockup on-the-ball defender, the best in his class. He uses his length with superior quickness and intelligence to force the offensive player into bad situations. He is committed to keeping his man out of the lane, chasing him off screens and contesting jump shots.
“While Bradley built his reputation as a defender, the strides he made on offense are what enabled him to ascend to the top of our rankings. He excels in the open floor, often grabbing a rebound, running with it and finishing with a dunk. In the half court, he works hard to get open and takes what is given without hunting down shots. His midrange game is outstanding, both off the dribble and off the catch. Of late, he has hit the 3-point shot with regularity, which would make him hard to guard with an already strong dribble drive and pull-up jumper. This young man scores, defends and makes everyone around him better. He leads his team to wins and, more importantly, championships.”
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. If they get mad, you're a mile away AND you have their shoes.

Avery Bradley
I think the key is how much Henry will play and what role he’ll have on the team? KU is already pretty stacked. Henry could be the best player, but I figure Bradley will have a more prominent role on his team..

Surprise Pick
I am going with Keith Gallon of Oklahoma. 6’10 300lbs. ESPN Top 150, Mcdonalds All-American, at the #1 High School in the nation. Oak Hill Academy. Blake Griffin leaving seems to give an open spot upfront that he might fill. If not one of their other PF recruits will.
There is partying.....and then there's Texas Tech.
