Mizzou gets pledge from key recruit
Coupled with the three who signed during the Early Signing Period, Tony Mitchell's verbal commitment to the Tigers rounds out one of the best recruiting classes in the history of the Mizzou basketball program.
Mitchell, a 6-foot-8, 220-pound forward from L.G. Pinkston High School, gave the Tigers a verbal commitment during a weekend visit to Columbia, Rivals.com reported.
Ranked as the 15th-best prospect in the country by the Web site, Mitchell is expected to sign a letter of intent before the end of the NCAA’s early signing period Wednesday.
"As soon as I stepped on campus, it was just a family atmosphere," Mitchell told Rivals.com. "The team really embraced me. This is more than just about basketball, it’s more about my future."
